Importantly, Crosby products meet other key performance requirements not addressed by ASME B30.26 regarding fatigue life, impact resistance and material traceability.
• Separately inspected by magnetic particle inspection.
• Wedges and wire rope sleeves can be used with open swaged and galvanized sleeves through pin holes and jaws.
• Secure wire rope ends or “knots” to the wedge plate to avoid loosening or “punching out” of the wedge plate.
• No additional wire rope can be used, easy installation.
• TERMINATOR™ wedges prevent the tail from breaking due to fatigue.
• The wire rope tail is fixed by the clamp base and the wedge plate, which will not deform and can be used repeatedly.
• Crosby's patented QUIC-CHECK® "pass" and "stop" inspection holes are incorporated into the wedge plate. The proper size of wire rope can be determined when the following conditions are met:
• 1) The wire rope should pass through the "through" hole in the wedge plate.
• 2) The wire rope should not pass through the "stop" hole in the wedge plate.
• Uses standard Crosby Red-U-Bolt® wire rope clamps.
• Standard S-421 wedge sockets, except 1-1/4" sizes, can be retrofitted with the new TERMINATOR™ wedges.
• Can be fitted with bolts, nuts and cotter pins.
